At Bluecycle, we believe that the highest standards of privacy should be applied throughout the online trading community. We are committed to maintaining these standards. Therefore, we give an absolute assurance that the personal data you submit to us will not be divulged to any third party. Any exception to this will require your explicit agreement.

We do compile statistics about the trading activities of Bluecycle, to help us fine-tune our services. These are sometimes passed on to third parties, including our partners, to help them design offers and facilities that will be of benefit to you. These statistics do not include any personal information from which you can be identified. Nevertheless, you can choose to have your activities excluded from the statistics we share.

We also work with advertisers to help them provide material that is appropriate to the audience they reach through Bluecycle, but this, once again, contains no information from which an individual can possibly be identified.

To simplify your experience of the Bluecycle service, and make it more personal, we place small pieces of software code known as ‘cookies' in your computer. These are designed to let us know who you are immediately when you log on, and so save you time and effort. They have no other function.

Under the Data Protection Act, you are entitled to inspect any information we hold about you on our computers. Naturally, we cannot disclose this information without adequate proof of your identity. We need to ensure that no one has unauthorised access to this data.

As a matter of course, you should remember that any information you disclose online can be collected and used by the people to whom you give it. As part of the Bluecycle service, you may be asked to give information to our working partners, and they may give information to you. We insist that Bluecycle users must not misuse this information in any way. However, we have no direct control over this area, and we cannot be held liable for such misuse. You should always consider these facts carefully before sharing personal or sensitive information, and remember that you do this at your own risk.

If at any time we amend this policy, the changes will be clearly explained on the Bluecycle website.
