A. to show that the vehicle has been dismantled.

A. one image will normally be enough, it should show the full vehicle, and should be good enough to allow identification of the vehicle, show that the vehicle has been dismantled, and show the complete structure of the vehicle.


Q. what about motorcycles? ![]()
A. within two months of purchase an image of the motorcycle headstock, which has been removed from the frame, must be supplied. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be visible.


Q. any differences on commercial vehicles? ![]()
A. on all vehicles with separate cabs and chassis, it is the chassis that must be destroyed on category b purchases. Two images are required, showing the chassis with the whole chassis section which contains the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) removed from the chassis, and a second showing the chassis section which has been cut out of the chassis. The VIN must be visible.

A. cat B dealers have a dedicated page called my cat b images which is accessed via your my bluecycle page. From my cat b images you are able to upload images directly to the bluecycle Web site for assessment. For a step-by-step guide on how to upload images click here
Q can I e-mail images? ![]()
A. no, Images must be uploaded using ‘my cat b images’
Q. what format and size should the images be? ![]()
A. the images must be in JPEG or GIF format and a maximum of 128 Kb. This is to speed up the process for you when uploading images and to ensure that the bluecycle.com site speed is not slowed when images are being uploaded. It is best practice when taking the images that you set your camera low resolution so that the image does not have to be adjusted at a later date.
Q. what happens if I don’t send images? ![]()
A. failure to provide images may result in exclusion from bluecycle.com auctions. Please refer to the bluecycle.com terms & conditions by clicking here.
Q. what happens if my image is not accepted? ![]()
A. if when assessed the image is not accepted the reason(s) why will be shown on my cat b images. It is then your responsibility to provide more images.
